About Tierra

Tierra Leustig is originally from Los Angeles, and has lived in Indianapolis since 2019. She has been passionate about painting, drawing, and creating since she was a child, constantly discovering new mediums and styles, and honing her craft over the last 27 years.

Recently, Tierra has experimented with new styles, mediums, and subject matter, finding a unique love for the abstract, and comfort in the freedom, forgiveness, and interpretation it offers. She is continuously exploring how line, shape, and color combine to create unique imagery that is equally obvious and ambiguous to viewers.

Tierra’s most recent collections employ continuous line work to explore subject matter like human forms, faces, still life objects, and nature. Combining line work with color brings out unique shapes in each piece that continue to come to life in front of the veiwer’s eyes.

Through her work, Tierra seeks to relinquish control over perfection that is often expected in the discipline of visual art, embracing the natural imperfections in form that come with abstract line work and expression.
